At Can Ribas Farm, in Sant Martí Vell (Girona), a pioneering self-consumption project with storage has been implemented, combining a 120 kWp rooftop photovoltaic installation with a 215 kWh lithium-polymer battery system.
The addition of the battery makes it possible to maximize solar self-consumption, reduce grid dependence, and ensure supply security, even in the event of power outages — a critical aspect for a livestock farm.
The results are:
-
58% reduction in external demand (73 MWh saved annually).
-
65,700 litres of diesel saved per year, bringing consumption virtually to zero.
-
176 tonnes of CO₂ avoided annually, equivalent to removing 120 cars from the road.
-
Practical elimination of diesel generators, improving resilience and service continuity.
-
Seamless switching thanks to the installation of an STS (Static Transfer Switch). The transition between power sources is automatic and instantaneous, ensuring uninterrupted operation during electrical failures.
A turnkey project that consolidates Solventa6 as a benchmark in hybrid photovoltaic + battery solutions, capable of delivering energy savings, security, and sustainability.
