370 kWp self-consumption photovoltaic installation that incorporates quick shutdown systems

First installation in Spain to use a rapid shutdown system from TIGO, the leading provider of smart solar and energy software solutions with a presence in more than 35 countries.

The facility, located in an industrial warehouse in Illescas (Toledo) owned by the industrial logistics group Mountpark, has a total power of 371 kWp. To execute it, 834 photovoltaic modules and 432 TIGO TS4-A2F Rapid Shutdown systems have been installed, a type of rapid shutdown that, by connecting every two modules, reduces installation time and reduces the number of connections compared to other devices that are installed module by module. The rapid shutdown installation has been completed with RSS transmitters that transmit a PLC signal to the chain wiring allowing in its absence the shutdown of the continuous installation.

The expected generation of energy is 502 MWh/year for self-consumption. This action represents a reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere of 137 tons per year, equivalent to planting 6,228 mature trees.

As an expert in fire protection solutions, Solventa6 has been in charge of the entire project, including the selection of materials and equipment, the design and installation of the plant and compliance with technical and legal requirements.
